THE FARM

New Venture Farm is located between Milwaukee and Chicago in Wisconsin's Racine County. Roger and Linda breed Arabians for functional companion horses. After viewing Arabians at horse shows and several farms, they singled out the Polish Arabian for their admired qualities. However, the Polish/Crabbet horses did not go unnoticed by them, since this cross is very athletic and tractable. As a result, New Venture Farm breeds Polish and Polish/Crabbet Arabians. New Venture Farm has also been busy Producing Quality Half-Arabians.

The current broodmare band includes daughters of Barbary, Pro-fire, Probat, Barexi to name a few. Linda and Roger have viewed a variety of stallions from the entire United States to carefully select them for their mares. They are extremely selective in the stallions that are chosen.

Required attributes include tractability, temperament, athleticism, conformation and national exposure. Each stallion is carefully selected to compliment their mares genetically and phenotypically. Among the stallions that have been selected for their future breeding program include: Baske Afire, Khadraj, MHR Nobility, Solstice, DS Major Fire and Orlando.

Roger Perry w/ Wonder Woman Click image for larger view	The couple is very pleased with the results of their breeding program and continue to work toward their "ideal" Arabian. They are fascinated with the history of the Arabian, generally acknowledged as the purest of breeds. Other breeds have infused Arabian blood to add beauty, refinement and athleticism.

Each spring, anticipation and anxiety mingle in the air at New Venture Farm as foaling draws near. Linda and Roger make time to spend with each new foal and enjoy the diverse personalities that emerge.
